Second event in a series of webinars on “Alternative Development and Environment”, organized by GIZ under Subcomponent 3.1 “DAIS”. The webinar series highlights the effects of illegal crops on the environment, such as deforestation, river and soil pollution, especially in protected areas. It is a topic that is receiving increasing attention, also in the international debate on drug policy.
Following the introductory event in February, this second webinar will focus on scientific evidence and present studies and reports on the environmental impact of drug cultivation, especially coca and cannabis.
